Ras Al Khaimah Strengthens India Trade Engagements Across Four Key Markets

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) conducted an extensive series of trade engagements across India, reinforcing the destination’s focus on one of its key international source markets. The programme included a three-city roadshow across Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad from September 21–24, followed by RAKTDA’s participation at Mélange 2026 in Mumbai on September 26–27. A delegation of tourism stakeholders from Ras Al Khaimah joined the roadshow, engaging travel agents, tour operators, MICE specialists and wedding planners through destination presentations, one-to-one meetings and networking sessions. Across the four-city programme, the delegation connected with more than 750 travel trade partners, strengthening destination knowledge, industry relationships and opportunities for future business.

Discussions highlighted Ras Al Khaimah’s potential across leisure, family travel, destination weddings and MICE, while showcasing its diverse landscapes, from beaches and mangroves to deserts, mountains and heritage sites. The engagements also provided Indian partners with updates on the destination’s expanding hospitality and attractions portfolio. India recorded 14% year-on-year growth in visitor arrivals to Ras Al Khaimah in 2025, with momentum continuing in 2026. Indian arrivals from May 2026 to date increased by 30% year-on-year, while room revenue grew by 12%. Ras Al Khaimah welcomed more than 670,000 visitors in the first half of 2026, its strongest first-half performance on record, as it works towards its ambition of welcoming more than 3.5 million annual visitors by 2030.

Connectivity remains a key enabler, with direct services from India operated by IndiGo, Air India Express and Air Arabia, alongside access via Dubai International Airport, approximately 45 minutes away. RAKTDA has also strengthened its airline partnerships through an MoU with Emirates covering joint marketing, trade and media familiarisation programmes, tailored packages and trade incentives. The destination’s hospitality pipeline is further expanding its appeal. Rotana Ras Al Khaimah – The Mangroves is set to add 258 rooms, meeting facilities and a large ballroom, while SAIJ Mountain Lodge by Mantis, Jebel Jais’ first mountain lodge, is scheduled to open in early 2027. Wynn Al Marjan Island, opening in September 2027, will add 1,530 rooms, suites and villas alongside dining, entertainment, retail and events.
