Rann Utsav, The Tent City, is set to return to Dhordo from November 1, 2026, to March 7, 2027, ushering in another season of one of Gujarat’s most celebrated tourism experiences. Operated by Evoke Experiences in collaboration with Gujarat Tourism, the annual festival continues to showcase the spectacular White Rann while offering travellers an immersive journey into the vibrant culture, heritage and traditions of Kutch.
Located approximately three hours from Bhuj, the Tent City has evolved into one of India’s most sought-after seasonal destinations, attracting visitors from across the country and abroad. The 2026–27 edition promises a blend of luxury tented accommodation, authentic regional cuisine, wellness experiences, adventure activities, curated sightseeing excursions and unforgettable stargazing under Kutch’s pristine, low-light desert skies.
A major highlight of the festival will be its rich cultural programme, celebrating the region’s living traditions through performances by the Siddi community, Gujarat’s unique Afro-Indian community, alongside captivating folk music and dance. The vibrant on-site Haat will once again feature master artisans and craftspeople from across the region, showcasing Kutch’s renowned craftsmanship through Ajrakh textiles, intricate embroidery, Bandhani sarees, traditional jewellery, mirror work and Lippan art. Together, these cultural experiences reinforce Rann Utsav’s position as a celebration of Gujarat’s artistic heritage.
Visitors can further enrich their journey by extending their itinerary beyond Dhordo to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Dholavira. To meet growing demand, Evoke Experiences will introduce 35 seasonal tents adjacent to the property, providing an additional accommodation option for travellers exploring the ancient Harappan city and Khadir Bet.
