The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) will host its 69th TAAI Convention & Exhibition in Kolkata, West Bengal, from October 25 to 27, 2026. The three-day convention will be held at ITC Royal Bengal and will mark a significant milestone as TAAI celebrates 75 years of excellence, leadership, and service to the Indian travel, tourism and hospitality industry.
Established in 1951, TAAI has played a key role in the growth and development of India’s travel and tourism sector, bringing together professionals and stakeholders from across the country. Its members are actively involved in outbound, domestic and inbound tourism, travel, hospitality and MICE, while the Association continues to focus on positioning India as a leading destination and promoting its tourism potential both nationally and globally.
In a departure from its tradition of hosting the convention overseas, TAAI’s Managing Committee has decided to hold the 69th Convention in India. Guided by the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote India as a leading tourism destination, the decision underlines TAAI’s commitment to Incredible India, strengthening domestic tourism and showcasing the country’s diverse tourism potential to the global travel fraternity.
The three-day convention is expected to bring together approximately 900 delegates and media representatives from across India. The gathering will provide a platform for government representatives, travel and tourism stakeholders, airlines, hotels, destinations, technology companies, MICE products and services, and other allied sectors to engage in meaningful discussions and networking.
The convention will focus on opportunities and challenges shaping the future of Indian travel and tourism, while facilitating collaboration, knowledge exchange and business connections among industry stakeholders. The 69th TAAI Convention & Exhibition holds special significance as the Association marks 75 years of its journey. Over seven and a half decades, TAAI has remained committed to supporting the growth of India’s travel and tourism ecosystem and creating platforms that bring the industry together.
The Kolkata convention will celebrate this legacy while also looking towards the future, with discussions and interactions centred on the evolving needs and opportunities of the Indian travel and tourism industry.
