Israel Ministry of Tourism Returns to the MICE & Leisure Travel Congress, Reaffirming Commitment to India’s Travel Trade

The Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) participated in the MICE & Leisure Travel Congress 2026 (MILT), held on 23–24 July at ITC Grand in Goa, marking its return to the prestigious travel trade platform after more than five years.

The participation reaffirmed the Ministry’s continued commitment to strengthening its engagement with India’s travel trade fraternity and underscored Israel’s long-term focus on the Indian outbound travel market. The platform brought together leading corporates, travel professionals, tour operators, destination representatives and industry stakeholders from across the country, fostering partnerships and exploring new opportunities.

Over the course of the two-day congress, the Israel Ministry of Tourism engaged with 50+ corporates through pre-scheduled B2B meetings and networking interactions, discussing collaborative MICE opportunities to promote Israel among the Indian audience. Conversations focused on Israel’s diverse tourism offerings across MICE, leisure, culinary and wellness tourism, while providing partners with updates on the destination’s evolving tourism landscape and future opportunities for collaboration.

Amruta Bangera, Marketing Director – The Israel Ministry of Tourism, India, said, “Participating in the 13th MILT Congress marks an important milestone for the Israel Ministry of Tourism as we continue to strengthen our engagement with the Indian travel trade. India remains one of Israel’s most important source markets. The optimistic response we received over the two days from leading corporates, was extremely encouraging, and we look forward to welcoming potential incentive groups, corporate delegations and business events in the near future, backed by our world-class infrastructure and diverse destination experiences. Besides, as travel continues to recover and with a robust pipeline of trade initiatives in place, we are optimistic about restoring Indian visitor arrivals to pre-covid levels in the coming years.”

The Ministry continues to invest in long-term trade engagement through strategic partnerships, destination awareness initiatives, media outreach and stakeholder collaborations. IMOT’s participation at the MILT Congress forms part of its broader efforts to equip the travel trade with updated destination knowledge while reinforcing confidence in Israel as a compelling destination for Indian travellers.
