The Moroccan National Tourism Office (MNTO) conducted the ‘Kingdom of Light Showcase’ roadshow across Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai. The event served as a powerful platform for showcasing Morocco’s diverse leisure tourism offerings, as 14 delegates from Morocco engaged in dialogue with over 300 travel trade professionals across four cities, equipping them with the knowledge and inspiration to craft curated, memorable Moroccan itineraries for their clients.
The Delhi edition of the roadshow was honoured by the presence of His Excellency, Mohamed Maliki, Ambassador of His Majesty the King of Morocco to India. While addressing the attendees, he stated, “The roadshow is a reflection of the deep and enduring friendship between Morocco and India. Tourism is one of the most powerful expressions of that friendship, and we are committed to ensuring that the Indian travel trade has the knowledge and inspiration to bring more Indian travellers to our Kingdom.”
Morocco is not simply a destination on the radar; it is rapidly becoming a destination of choice for the Indian leisure traveller seeking something genuinely extraordinary. Since 2019, Indian arrivals to Morocco have surged by 224%, with 2025 recording 53,697 Indian visitors, a 31% year-on-year increase. Travellers are returning with stories that go far beyond the expected, and many are going back for more. Moreover, Morocco’s significant infrastructure investments in preparation for co-hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup only add to its readiness to welcome Indian travellers in ever greater numbers.

Reflecting on the roadshow’s success, Jamal Kilito, Country Manager – India, MNTO, added, “India is one of Morocco’s fastest-growing and most strategically important source markets, and the enthusiasm we have witnessed from the travel trade across all four cities has been truly encouraging. Our focus goes beyond awareness as we are building lasting partnerships that drive real conversion, and this roadshow is central to that mission.”
With a target of 75,000 Indian visitors in 2026, the Kingdom of Light Showcase roadshow marks a significant step in MNTO’s mission to deepen Morocco’s presence in the Indian market. As traveller interest continues to grow and trade partnerships strengthen across the country, Morocco is making its case as the long-haul leisure destination that India keeps coming back to.
