Tourism representation from Salvia Promoters has taken a significant step in expanding India’s access to Russia’s lesser-known destinations by signing an agreement with the Arkhangelsk Tourism Board to represent the Russian Arctic region in India. This partnership aims to boost tourism flows from India and spotlight Arkhangelsk as one of Russia’s most captivating unexplored destinations.
The agreement was signed by Mishin Sergey, Head of the Centre for Development of Tourism and Culture, Ministry of Culture of the Arkhangelsk Region, and Prashant Chaudhary, Head of Salvia Promoters, in the presence of Anna Tyutrina, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of Arkhangelsk Region.
Known for reinforcing its stronghold as a market leader in the Eurasian region, Salvia Promoters’ latest collaboration marks another milestone in championing the emerging destinations in Russia. Speaking about the partnership, Prashant Chaudhary said, “We have already organised the first FAM trip from India to Arkhangelsk and are planning more such trips to this beautiful region. Arkhangelsk is an unexplored region for Indians, and now they can discover the hidden gems of Russia while adding this unique destination to their itineraries.”
Nestled on the shores of the White Sea, Arkhangelsk presents a striking blend of historical depth and natural splendour. Far removed from the familiar images of Moscow and St. Petersburg, this northern gem offers travellers long summer days, pristine landscapes, rich maritime history, and some of the freshest seafood in Russia. Its forests, culture, and timeless architecture make it an unforgettable destination for experiential travellers. The Arkhangelsk region is also one of the prime locations to witness the Northern Lights, a natural phenomenon that continues to awe visitors from around the world. With growing interest among Indian travellers to chase the aurora, the region is now ready to welcome them with open arms.
To effectively promote Arkhangelsk and the Russian Arctic in India, Salvia Promoters will undertake a series of B2B-focused activities. These include participation in tourism exhibitions across major Indian cities, roadshows, and targeted networking initiatives to build awareness among travel trade partners.
Though not yet on every traveller’s radar, Arkhangelsk’s charm lies precisely in its authenticity and untouched appeal. It is a region where history and nature intertwine to offer an unfiltered Russian experience—one that is now more accessible than ever for Indian tourists.
