Vietjet has launched ‘Startup Flight,’ a unique cross-border initiative that the airline co-founds to connect innovative minds and entrepreneurial ecosystems between India and Vietnam. The contest is jointly organised in partnership with India’s Amity Innovation Incubator and Vietnam’s National Startup Support Centre.
Designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and investment, Startup Flight opens new opportunities for young entrepreneurs from both countries to scale globally, especially across fast-growing sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI). Through Vietjet’s extensive flight network, Startup Flight will link India’s largest cities and innovation hubs where Vietjet has operations—Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kochi—with Vietnam’s rising tech centres in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang.
Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, Trade Counsellor and Head of Trade Office, Embassy of Vietnam to India, said, “India is a global powerhouse of technology and innovation. With five out of six Vietjet destinations in India ranked among the world’s top 100 startup cities, this initiative serves as a strategic bridge fostering partnerships, cultural exchange, and breakthrough ideas between Vietnam and India.”
The initiative seeks to nurture talents and promote innovative solutions in four priority areas: Software & Data/AI, E-commerce & Retail, EdTech, and Transportation & Logistics.
