The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) has announced that its 40th Annual Convention will take place from 22nd to 25th August 2025 at Swosti Premium Spa & Resorts, Puri, Odisha.
A high-level IATO delegation led by Mr. Ravi Gosain, President, met with Smt. Pravati Parida, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister of Odisha, to formally invite her to the event. The delegation included Mr. Sanjay Razdan (Vice President), Mr. Rajiv Mehra (Immediate Past President), Mr. J.K. Mohanty (Chairman, IATO Eastern Region), and Mr. Gagan Sarangi (Chairman, IATO Odisha Chapter).
Smt. Parida graciously accepted the invitation and extended full support for the convention. She assured that the Directorate of Tourism, Government of Odisha, and Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) would actively support the event. She also confirmed special arrangements for seamless entry to the Lord Jagannath Temple for delegates and shared plans for Puri Beach beautification during the convention period. Additionally, OTDC properties will host delegates on post-convention tours across the state.

The delegation also met Smt. Mansi Nimbhal, Director (Tourism), Government of Odisha, who affirmed the department’s commitment to support the convention.
With Odisha as the host state, the convention is expected to attract 1000–1200 delegates, including senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, representatives from 15–18 state governments, and key stakeholders from the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors. All major activities — including registration, the inaugural function, business sessions, and evening programs — will take place at Swosti Premium Beach Resort, Puri.
The convention will also feature post-convention tours to highlight Odisha’s rich cultural and natural heritage, aimed at boosting promotion in both domestic and international markets.
