Sunil Kumar Re-Elected as UFTAA President To Lead UFTAA’s Diamond Jubilee (1966-2026)

Sunil Kumar R, President of TAAI – Travel Agents Association of India, has been re-elected to lead UFTAA as its Global President, to lead UFTAA’s Diamond Jubilee during the term 2025-2026.

UFTAA (United Federation of Travel Agents Associations) is an international confederation representing the travel agency and tourism industry, founded in 1966 and headquartered in Monaco, that aims to unify travel agencies, promote sustainable tourism, and advocate for the industry’s interests globally. It is a huge networking opportunity for the industry stakeholders across the world.

At the Annual General Assembly of UFTAA held on the 27th March 2025, Mr Sunil Kumar, representing TAAI (India), was elected. The new Board of UFTAA comprises members from eleven countries. The other members of the board are:

Mr Yossi Fatael – VP Aviation & IATA matters (Israel); Mr Cetin Gurcun – VP Tourism (Turkey); Mr William D’Souza VP Finance (Canada); Ms Varsha Ramchurn – Director (Mauritius); Dr Joseph Kithitu – Director (Kenya); Mr Duminda Kuruwitaarchchi – Director (Sri Lanka); Mr Joe Borg Oliver – Director (Malta); Ms Mariegel Manotok – Director (Philippines); Mr Moustafa Khataw – Director (Tanzania); Mr Bernard Borry (Switzerland). 

2026 will be a special year for UFTAA. The new board will be planning this mega event with more expansions and the launch of newer initiatives.
