The Leela Goa wins ‘Best International Resort of the Year’ award


The Leela Goa was awarded The Best International Resort of the Year 2019 in the Asian Voice Political & Public Life Awards 2019, as it hosted the BRICS summit, where leaders from all across the globe assembled for their meeting. The award was presented by Gareth Williamson- UK Defence Secretary to the General Manager, The Leela Goa- Shridhar Nair.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan was named the Politician of the Year, UK Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson was recognized as Cabinet Minister of the year and Indian origin politician Priti Patel was recognized as Conservative Party MP of the year, among others.

The awards ceremony was held in the Members Dining Room in the House of Commons on March 7.

The Asian Voice newspaper has the largest readership of any ethnic minority paper in Britain. The Asian Voice Political & Public Life Awards (which have been in existence for the past 10 years) are held annually to honor people who have made a special impact in the preceding 12 months and who have made a tremendous contribution to preserving Britain’s enviable stature as one of the leading economies of the World.
