Housekeepers Synergy 4.0 Brings Industry Leaders Together in B’luru to Discuss Innovation and Sustainability

Housekeepers Synergy – 4.0, organised by PRISTAL in collaboration with the Professional Housekeepers Association (PHA), Karnataka Chapter, was held at Hotel Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Bengaluru. The event convened leading professionals from the hospitality, healthcare, and aviation sectors for a dynamic exchange of ideas, innovation, and best practices in housekeeping.

The program commenced with registrations, followed by a welcome address and invocation, setting a purposeful tone for the day. The ceremonial lamp lighting marked the formal inauguration in the presence of distinguished industry leaders, including Kadambari Sabharwal Talwar, General Manager – Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Hebbal; Jayashree Nagaraj, Founder & Chairperson – PHA; Babita Butola, Vice President – Operations, PHA Karnataka Chapter; Alvin Kwah; and Naveen Midha, Co-founder – PRISTAL.

Smitha Mohan, Vice President – Learning & Development, PHA Karnataka Chapter, delivered the welcome address, followed by a corporate presentation by Babita Butola, who also extended an invitation to the upcoming 8th National Housekeepers Convention and the 11th PHA Anniversary, scheduled for May 30, 2026, at Eros Hotel, New Delhi. The Chief Guest, Kadambari Sabharwal Talwar, addressed the gathering with insightful perspectives on leadership, underscoring the importance of innovation and continuous learning in the rapidly evolving hospitality landscape.

A key highlight of the event was the panel discussion on “Sustainable Laundry Solutions for the Future of Housekeeping,” moderated by the Chief Guest. The panel featured Srinivas Rao, Founder & CEO – Klen Laundryworks; Lakshmi Kondaswamy, Head of Housekeeping & Treasurer – PHA Karnataka Chapter; Naveen Midha, Co-Founder – Business Strategy & Market Execution, Pristal India Pvt Ltd; Yeow Min Kwah, Co-Founder – Product, Innovation & Sustainability, Pristal India Pvt Ltd; and Karthick Arumugam, Executive Housekeeper – The Oterra Bengaluru.

The discussion focused on sustainable practices, resource efficiency, and the transformative role of innovation in laundry operations. Emphasising structured linen management, Jayashree Nagaraj highlighted the importance of accurate inventory tracking, pre-procurement testing, and involving laundry partners in purchasing decisions to enhance quality, efficiency, and long-term sustainability. She also advocated for the development of high-quality, eco-friendly products suited to the Indian market. Her recommendations on environmental impact assessment, quality assurance, user training, and periodic audits were well received by industry stakeholders.

During the event, Bharat Pristal India Pvt Ltd showcased its advanced range of laundry solutions, offering participants an opportunity to explore innovative products tailored to modern housekeeping needs. Adding an engaging dimension to the program, an interactive quiz was conducted, with three winners felicitated. This was followed by a felicitation ceremony recognising panellists, general managers, PRISTAL members, executive committee members, media representatives, and Karnataka Chapter board members for their contributions to the industry.

A special recognition was presented to Dhirain, Secretary – PHA YUVA Board Karnataka and a student of the Army Institute of Hotel Management, for his dedication and active involvement. He was felicitated by  Jayashree Nagaraj in the presence of Sandhya, Chief Mentor – PHA YUVA India & Communication Lead – PHA India; Smitha Mohan; and other Karnataka Chapter members.

The event saw participation from approximately 56 industry experts, reinforcing its role as a valuable platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and advancing excellence in housekeeping practices.
